The lug nut for the tire. The jug for the gas.
Roadside help from neighbors, for neighbors — Ponca City & Kay County.
Lug & Jug does two roadside jobs, the two that strand people most around here. No towing, no jump-starts, no mechanic work — just these two, done safely.
A helper comes to you and swaps your flat for your own spare tire, using a jack and lug wrench. If your spare is flat too, they'll tell you straight — no charge games.
A helper brings a small amount of gas in an approved safety can — enough to get you to a station, not a fill-up. Fuel only ever travels in approved cans.
Job offers arrive by Facebook Messenger first. You're out running other gigs — you should not have to stare at an app. When a job comes up near you, you get a message with the job, the pay, and the rough area. No Messenger, or it can't reach you? The same offer comes by text message instead — that's why we ask for your phone number too.
Money never moves by message. Messages are only for offering and accepting jobs. Prepay, holds, and payouts always happen inside the secure payment flow — never by message, never in cash apps a stranger asks for.
Example — sends nothingThat box is just a picture of how a job message will look. It is not a real offer and tapping it does nothing.
Helpers set their own price for a job — and the helper receives the full job price. Lug & Jug never skims the helper's price down.
The driver pays two small things on top of the job price: the card processing fee (what the card companies charge — we pass it through, we don't mark it up), plus a flat 30-cent connection fee. That 30 cents is Lug & Jug's whole take — it covers things like the identity checks.
| Job price the helper set (EXAMPLE) | $50.00 |
| Card processing on the total (EXAMPLE) | $1.81 |
| Connection fee (the real, flat fee) | $0.30 |
| Driver pays in total (EXAMPLE) | $52.11 |
| Helper receives | $50.00 |
Every dollar figure above except the 30-cent connection fee is an example to show how the split works. Real job prices are set by helpers when booking opens.
Ponca City and Kay County first. Signing up puts you on the founding list — when the pilot opens, founding members get contacted first. Signing up is not booking a job, and it doesn't skip the identity check: everybody passes it before their first job, drivers and helpers both.
For folks who'd call for help. We'll only contact you about the Lug & Jug pilot launch.
For gig workers who'd take tire and gas jobs — offers come by Messenger first, text as backup. We'll only contact you about the Lug & Jug pilot launch.
